UniSA students head back to school

A group of UniSA teaching students has been able to return to the classroom following the easing of COVID-19 restrictions.

Master of Teaching students undertaking the Health and Physical Education 1 course take part in a ‘Lab School’ experience where they learn to teach by working with small groups of children from local primary schools.

Master of Teaching program director Wendy Piltz says it’s a collaborative, experiential-based approach to learning through which students plan, teach, reflect evaluate and transform their professional practice.

Pictured are students Caitlin Adams, Grace Inman, Sam Johns, Cohan Morris, Aladin Irabona and Elise Foulds with lecturer Wendy Piltz at Marryatville Primary School.

Piltz says all are excited to return to their teaching experience, which was interrupted by the COVID19 pandemic.
