Eager to meet new people or perhaps you’re looking for a new hobby? At UniSA, we’ve got clubs to cater to all tastes and passions. Whether you’re an outdoors enthusiast, an art lover, or a gamer, the University of South Australia Student Association (USASA) has the club for you. Don’t see anything you’re interested in? Aussies love their sport, and UniSA is no different. UniSA Sport offers students the opportunity to play socially or competitively in a huge range of sports, giving you the chance to take advantage of our excellent on campus sporting facilities.
If you’re unable to become a member of a club, there’s still plenty of ways to get involved including through USASA’s on campus events such as Speed Friending, and Pride Fair, or through regular events like the Campus Fairs or the Volunteering Expo.
Connect with one of our UniSA Buddies during Orientation Week and get an understanding of what life as a student in Adelaide is like. Our UniSA Buddies are largely made up of Australian students who have studied abroad, so they’ll be familiar with your experience and open to answering any questions you might have. UniSA Buddies conduct regular events throughout the year to promote social cohesion, cultural understanding, and friendship between exchange and Australian students. You can expect anything from hiking and bushwalks, winery tours, bbqs, and fun nights out at the pub.
We offer a huge range of services designed to help students succeed, but also to make sure they feel supported, accepted, and valued as members of the UniSA Community from their first day on campus.
UniSA student support services are free and confidential. We provide services for students covering academic support and mentoring, access and inclusion, equity and diversity, and more. Take a look at the full range of UniSA Support Services here. Our International Student Advisers can assist you with queries relating to student visa conditions, enrolment variations, leave of absence, and Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) extensions along with wellbeing issues that may impact your ability to study.
If you require counselling or mental health support at any time during your studies, UniSA provides a free and professional counselling service, which you can attend in-person, via phone, or online between 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday. If you’re unable to make these times, the University also offers an out-of-hours crisis line, which you can contact outside of these hours: call 1300 107 441 or text 0488 884 163.
