Purkarninthi in Residence art installation launch

A new art installation has been launched featuring images and testimonials from UniSA’s Elders in Residence program, known by its Kaurna name, Purkarninthi.

The Purkarninthi in Residence art installation will be placed in each of Wirringka Student Services’ study centres across UniSA’s metropolitan campuses.

The installation was prepared in collaboration with Samstag Museum of Art and Wirringka and was launched by UniSA Chancellor Pauline Carr in September.

The project helps deliver the University’s Reconciliation Action Plan commitments to create culturally-safe and vibrant campuses.

2021 Art on Campus exhibition

Students have created numerous artworks for the 2021 UniSA Student Association Art on Campus exhibition.

Art on Campus is an opportunity for UniSA students to express their creativity and be showcased on campus. The project unites aspiring artists, designers, and creatives from all disciplines across the university.

Artists participating in the exhibition have a chance to have their artwork featured in the 2022 USASA Student Diary and/or other USASA promotional material such as a student tote bag.

Submitted entrants’ artwork will be exhibited as a year-long outdoor mural on the City West Campus.

You can also see the exhibition online on the USASA website or the USASA Facebook page.
