Responsible research practice

What is responsible research conduct and who decides? To some extent an individual’s personal integrity and conscience can inform how they undertake their work. However, to ensure agreement on common shared values, something more is needed. In Australia, all researchers have a responsibility and obligation to act in accordance with the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research.
