Immersive exploration of data imported directly from spreadsheets. Users can quickly explore data on axes in VR, and geo-referenced, to explore the relationships between different dimensions in a dataset, or how a certain dimension relates to a map shown to the user. Users physically grab and drag data to explore it, utilising physical movement to explore their data.

Using AR to visualise data located in the real-world. Example use case is undertaking core review and exploration. Users can view lab, analytics, and source data (location) alongside the original physical core sample. Presents a single interface for all information relating to those core samples. (Minex).

AR/VR systems for training and task guidance. For example, site training for mining, safety training for forklift operators, life-skill training for people with disabilities. Also tools for creating immersive training content, such as capturing an expert's first-person view demonstration of a task to create 3D instructions for a novice worker to follow.

Remote collaboration systems for remote experts in VR to support and guide novice users located on site using AR and a head-mounted 360 camera. Both users can look at any location in the space, either in person or using the 360 camera, and can naturally point and annotate what they're seeing to assist communicating with each other.

View 3D volumetric images including holograms, visualisations, and videos in full 3D, with the content shown floating in the middle of a piece of a large piece of glass or dome. Users can move from side-to-side to view the data from various sides. (Looking Glass & Voxon).

Demonstrations of 3D capture capability, from world-scale to object scale capture. Objects or people are captured from all angles, allowing for content creation for VR, games, and viewing on volumetric 3D displays. Capturing large scale, inside and outside spaces, as well as specific objects using a laser scanner and visualise them in VR. Scans were performed in a crime/policing domain, but applicable to other domains. (Jury laser scan).
