Each year 1,800 Australian women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and 46% of them won’t be alive five years later. Understandably, diagnosis has a dramatic impact on mental wellbeing, in the form of anxiety, sleep disturbance and the inability to work. Right now, post-diagnosis support for these women is inadequate.

BBB researchers are working with clinicians, support workers and patients to identify the unmet mental and wellbeing needs of these women following their diagnosis, and to develop evidence-based interventions to address them.
