An De College, Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology


In 2017 the University, in collaboration with Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology (XAUAT) developed a joint college, An De College.

XAUAT has become one of China’s leading higher institutions in architecture, civil engineering and urban planning. XAUAT is located in the famous historical and cultural city of Xian and has a long history of about 115 years, dating back to 1895, the year when Tianjin Beiyang School of Western Learning (Beiyang University) was first established. XAUAT has formulated as its educational philosophy the principles of “boosting civilization inheritance, creating a bright future, fostering talents to invigorate China, enriching the people and technology”, and being “independent, realistic, inquisitive and creative” as its motto. Currently, the university has about 40,000 students, including about 19,000 undergraduates, over 5,000 postgraduates, and approximately 14,000 students at the vocational and technical college level, plus the college of further education.

An De College, in partnership with UniSA and XAUAT, currently offers six joint programs (four Bachelor programs and two Master’s programs). The collaboration has been endorsed and approved by the Chinese Ministry of Education.

The partnership allows students to study the first two years of their program in China, students may then choose to complete the final two years of their program in Adelaide at UniSA.

  • Bachelor of Engineering Honours (Civil)
  • Bachelor of Engineering Honours (Electrical and Electronic)
  • Bachelor of Software Engineering Honours
  • Master of Engineering (Civil and Infrastructure)
  • Master of Engineering (Water Resources Management)
