Rural Health Research
A research plan has been developed by University of South Australia Department of Rural Health academic staff who are based at the Rural Health and Aged Care Education Centre. Research projects underway include:
- Student experience and graduate intentions following aged care placement at Matthew Flinders Home
- Review of mental and physical changes associated with participation in a regular fishing group for older adults residing in rural residential aged care
- Review of a weekly student interprofessional education program on students’ attitudes, perceptions and beliefs of working in rural aged care
Additionally, the University of South Australia is working collaboratively with other RHMT Aged Care Expansion Grantees on a national survey.
