Schools and Homes Networking Digitally

This three-year project examines how digital and social networks connect students to their schools, homes, and other domains. It investigates how digital and social inclusion and exclusion impact on students’ experiences of education, and on the roles of educators and parents in supporting them.

The project has three components:

  • A national survey of school leaders
  • In-depth family case studies
  • ‘How do you connect?’ interactive interviews with Grade 5 children

This project, which commenced in 2021, has been funded by the Australian Research Council under the title ‘Parent Involvement Goes Online: New ecologies of school-home relations’ DP210101226.
