Blending the worlds of fun and education, the Planetarium’s flexible school sessions assist in covering the Australian Curriculum, with experiences suitable for primary, middle and high school classes. Topics covered by our experienced astronomers are guided by the SACSA Framework Strand called Earth and Space for the Standard of each year. This includes understanding the basic motions of the sun, earth and moon and their effect on everyday life; components of the solar system; and understanding the universe and the nature of space exploration.
A fulldome movie is included into each session. You can view our library of movies here.
School sessions can be booked from 10am for approximately 60 minutes. Extended sessions may be arranged for an extra charge – please contact the Planetarium.
