Saturday sessions will take you on a captivating journey across the universe. Join one of our highly experienced astronomers as they guide you through constellations, the solar system and beyond. Marvel at the immense scale of the universe and observe the breathtaking beauty of the night skies projected on the eight-metre domed ceiling.

To ensure the safety of staff and patrons, and to abide by State Government regulations, up to 39 people will be permitted inside the Planetarium at any one time.

*Please note the Planetarium is not suitable for children under 4 years old. If you do bring younger children, we request that those who become restless and noisy please exit the Planetarium with their guardian as a courtesy to other patrons.

Important notes

  • Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the session commencing to be seated comfortably and to avoid disappointment, as entry into the Planetarium is NOT permitted once the session has started for safety reasons.
  • All children must be accompanied by a paying adult.
  • Companion card holders, please email the Planetarium once you have booked so a seat can be reserved for you.
  • No food or drink to be consumed in the Planetarium.
  • Prams are not permitted inside the Planetarium.
  • All sessions require a minimum number of bookings to go ahead.

Covid-19 requirements

  • Our COVID-safe plan requires us to have no more than 39 people per session.
  • Guests must provide contact details at the time of booking as per Government COVID-19 regulations for contact tracing, if required.
  • QR check in is required upon arrival
  • We ask that you refrain from attending the Planetarium if feeling unwell to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for everyone. 
  • Under the current SA health guidelines masks are mandatory except for children under 12 years of age.
  • Due to COVID-19 restrictions, ALL patrons who enter the Planetarium must be accounted for and therefore required to purchase a ticket. This INCLUDES children under the age of 4 and babies (we have a foyer area for patrons who will be caring for younger siblings).
