Social Work

Based at the Elizabeth Clinic, the Social Work service provides compassionate and professional support to individuals, families, and communities.

Guided by experienced social work practitioners, our students offer a range of services, including:

  • counselling
  • case management
  • connecting to services, including supporting with documentation need to access services and supports,
  • referral pathways
  • advocacy
  • support for mental health and wellbeing.

We are committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment where clients can access the resources and assistance they need. Through our services, students gain practical experience and develop essential skills, preparing them to make a positive impact in the field of social work. Whether you’re seeking help or looking for guidance, our team is here to support you.

In addition to our face-to-face services, we can also facilitate telehealth consultations for clients who prefer not to attend a face-to-face appointment or are located in rural and remote areas of South Australia.

    Social Workers work from a whole-of-person perspective, recognising the broader support requirements for an individual experiencing mental illness and the impact on friends, family, work, and education. Social Workers are experienced in building relationships and working collaboratively with other health professionals to maintain multidisciplinary care.

    Social work supports are available to anyone, and there are no geographical limitations.

Parking
The UniSA Health Clinic has a designated parking zone with free parking available to patients in the carpark located north of the clinic entrance and through the boom gates. A code is required to exit the carpark which can be obtained from our reception staff.
