Overview

This Inquiry investigated agglomeration economies and their ability to alter the economic productivity of cities, together with what are the key drivers of population growth and mobility in Australia.

The study examined theoretical, international and Australian case-study evidence and econometric modelling results designed to investigate the likely optimal size of Australian cities, and the scale at which productivity benefits are likely to arise.
