Are you prepared to work hard, meet and work with new people, and most of all, have a fun and rewarding experience? A Match Studio elective course will give you practical project experience, help you to further your interpersonal and professional skills, and develop your awareness of workplace culture and expectations.
You will get to work with clients on real-world challenges and build tangible experience that you can add to your CV. Match Studio projects support students to gain applied experience linked to their degree, develop transferable skills and enhance their employability prospects.
Take part in project-focused research, design and implementation, applying systems-thinking, design thinking and co-design principles to tackle real challenges. Course work is delivered across differing models, including stand-alone grade bearing electives, the Match Tournament Interdisciplinary Design Sprint (IDS), satellite projects within existing disciplinary-based courses, student interns undertaking Match Studio projects as work placements, and non-compulsory work placements.

Anyone can study with Match Studio! It does not matter what you are studying as all studio projects require a multi-disciplinary approach (please note some projects will specify which disciplines are suitable).
Our undergraduate elective ARCH 2027 Match Studio Projects and postgraduate elective ARCH 5047 Match Studio Projects: Advanced draw on broad knowledge and expertise to help students produce a design-led project appropriate for inclusion in a CV or professional portfolio. There are even opportunities for Higher Degree research students (Master of Research and PhD candidates to work on research project with Match Studio and their clients.
