Mr Whicker is the Millicent Mill Manager for Kimberly-Clark Australia’s only tissue manufacturing plant in Australia and New Zealand for Kleenex and Viva, facial, bath and paper towel products.
In 1985 he graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Engineering – Chemical (Honours). His first job after completing university was as a Process and Production Control Engineer for Worsley Alumina in Western Australia, a job he held for just over three years before starting at Kimberly-Clark’s Millicent Mill as a Pulp Mill Supervisor, progressing to Process Superintendent. Following this time he undertook a 12 month international assignment as a Research Scientist with Kimberly-Clark based in Neenah, Wisconsin USA supporting tissue operations throughout the US and Canada.
Returning in 1994 to Millicent Mill he progressed to managed Tissue manufacturing prior to being chosen for the role as Operations/Plans Manager in 2001 for the new KCA5 Facility. This involved, design, planning, construction and start-up of new technology and machinery for KCA’s bathroom tissue paper towel plant. This also included recruitment and establishing the organisational structure and culture. He moved to the Sydney headquarters for two years as a Technical and Product Development Manager before returning to the Millicent Mill as Mill Manager in 2008.
Mr Whicker is currently a non-Executive Board Member of Regional Development Australia – Limestone Coast, a non-Executive Board Member of Group Training Employment and a member of the South Gambier Football Club Committee.
