After graduating from Flinders University with a Bachelor of Education Mitchell Ollington started off his education career in Whyalla as a physical education teacher at Long Street Primary School. He worked here for a year until accepting a permanent teaching position at Fisk Street Primary School.
At Fisk Street Primary School for six years, two as a Junior Primary Teacher, where he won the SA Public Teaching Awards B-2 Teacher of the Year in 2013. He spent six months as a Senior Leader of learning and then was Principal for 2 ½ years.
Currently he is Principal Consultant for the Department of Education and Child Development where he holds the Whyalla Portfolio which includes all sites in the Far North, Whyalla and Port Augusta/Quorn Schools Partnerships.
