Study by the seaside on the Eyre Peninsula on the picturesque Whyalla Campus, a major hub for regional tertiary education for the northern and western areas of South Australia.

Experience flexible learning and quality teaching, with the benefit of a relaxed environment, practical learning opportunities, small class sizes, tailored support services and strong community connections.

Plus, if you decide to study locally in Whyalla, you can generally organise to fit all your on-campus classes into 1-2 days. This gives you flexibility to work part-time or travel home if you live in surrounding areas.

What I loved most about studying at UniSA was the incredible staff, especially those that work at the Whyalla Campus and the facilities we have available. The main reason I’d suggest studying regionally is the class sizes. There’s a limited number which means you have more opportunity to get to know your tutor and are provided with a bit more support.

Courses

We offer degrees in key areas such as education, nursing, and social work, along with alternative entry programs, reflecting in-demand areas in the region.

You’ll also reap the benefits of smaller class sizes, with more one-on-one time with your lecturers and tutors, and additional support when needed. Our highly experienced teaching staff are also there to help students studying a blended mode of on-campus and online learning.

“The Bachelor of Nursing has definitely helped me put that practice in to my work. While on placement, I’ve certainly learned to build my confidence and building rapport with patients. You’re getting to know someone different every day – different diagnoses, different past medical histories, different medication. We’re here to look after them and we want the best outcome for them.
