UniSA has been a long-time sponsor of the Adelaide International Women’s Day Breakfast, the largest event celebrating International Women’s Day in Australia. This year was the 30th anniversary of the breakfast, a virtual event held on Friday 11 March.
The International Women’s Day Breakfast is a landmark event for Gender Equity Month each March. The University continues to support the event in support of its commitment to gender equity and as part of UniSA’s Bronze Athena Swan Action Plan, to proactively raise staff awareness in gender issues.
Senator Penny Wong hosted the virtual breakfast and was joined by special guest speaker Grace Tame.
UniSA organised student and staff breakfast screenings on campus (see photos further down) to encourage everyone to get involved.
In addition, UniSA Chancellor Pauline Carr hosted a luncheon (photos below) on Thursday 10 March for women leaders in the University and industry to come together and discuss a range of issues. The guest speaker was Associate Professor at the 50/50 By 2030 Foundation, University of Canberra, Dr Chris Wallace, who addressed the topic: 2022 Federal Election - The Women’s Election?
