The University of South Australia is seeking volunteers to take part in a study comparing three calorie restricted diets with different meal timings on risk factors for type 2 diabetes. Participation in this study will involves 4 visits (1 hour each) at the South Australian Health and Medical Institute (SAHMRI) and 2 overnight visits (26 hours each) to the Sleep Lab of UniSA on Magill Campus, as well as occasional contacts with researchers via telehealth. This study is in partnership with the University of Adelaide.
Gender: male and female
Age: 35 – 75
BMI: 25.1 – 45kg/ m2
Other criteria: elevated fasting blood glucose at screening (we will check this for you), not taking medications for weight or glucose control.
Participants will be participating over the course of 6 months and will be financially compensated with an honorarium of up to $1200 for their participation in the study.
