DAIRNet: Defence Artificial Intelligence Research Network

Bringing together thinking on Defence AI

DAIRNet is the Defence Artificial Intelligence Research Network. It aims to bring together AI researchers across Australia to work together to stimulate new ideas and knowledge, and to evaluate, test and integrate novel AI technologies for Defence.

This is achieved through three objectives:

People and talent: Sustain a talent pipeline to grow domestic AI capability and Defence AI-ready specialists.
Research impact: Support R&D and provide the platform in which AI-users work alongside researchers and developers.
Integration and evolution: Bring together and support the broader Defence and AI ecosystems.

DAIRNet is an initiative of the Department of Defence through the Next Generation Technologies Fund. DAIRNet is managed in partnership with the University of South Australia.
