Shariah is perhaps one of the most misunderstood and misrepresented Islamic topics in Western media and politics. Many Muslims also have shallow understanding of Shariah. Often, Shariah is depicted only as ‘Law’ that is stagnant, outdated and incompatible with Western ‘laws’ and ‘values.’ How much do you know about Shariah? What does it mean? What does it cover? What are its major objectives? And, to what extent can it be practiced in Australia? This webinar will address these questions in a simple way useful for anyone with little or no knowledge about Shariah.
