Fresh from playing a key role in Australia’s successful UN Security Council bid in New York last week, Australia’s last serving President of the UN Security Council and former senior diplomat Richard Woolcott AC will deliver the 2012 Annual Hawke Lecture in Adelaide next month.
Mr Woolcott will put his strong view that Australia’s best prospects lie in developing much deeper ties with Asia. His address Advancing Australia Where? - forging our future in the Asian region will be presented by the University of South Australia’s Bob Hawke Prime Ministerial Centre, at the Adelaide Town Hall on Monday November 5.
