Student Exchange

Discover yourself abroad

What is student exchange?

An exchange semester allows you to study overseas at one of our partner institutions while staying enrolled at UniSA. Available to both undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students, tuition fees are waived by the host institution, and the courses you study overseas count for credit in place of a semester here! By applying for an exchange you are automatically considered for a $1,500 UniSA exchange travel grant.

Exchange in 2026

Exchange in 2026 and beyond will fall under Adelaide University. If you are interested in going on exchange in 2026, please go to the Adelaide University Global Learning website. More information will be added to the Adelaide University website as it becomes available.

If you have any questions, please still direct these to UniSA Global Opportunities - see Contact Us page.

WHAT IF I WANT TO STUDY AT A NON-PARTNER UNIVERSITY?

If you intend to study at a university that is not one of our partners, you may be able to go as a fee-paying Study Abroad student. Outgoing study abroad is not supported by UniSA and is entirely independent. As such, you will have to arrange everything by yourself and take a leave of absence from UniSA. If you are thinking of doing this, please contact us at student.exchange@unisa.edu.au and let us know, as you may still be eligible for funding.
