The safety of our attendees, speakers and staff is our chief priority. For this reason, our Kerry Packer Civic Gallery is closed until the end of the year, re-opening 6 January 2021.
We appreciate your understanding and patience in these ongoing challenging times.

This exhibition showcases selected posters submitted by students from South Australia's primary, secondary and tertiary educational institutions. The artwork is a response to Refugee Week and themes which are critical in the acceptance and settlement of new arrivals to Australia. Those themes include multiculturalism, cultural diversity, anti-racism and the welcoming of refugees into Australia as well as how refugees become part of, and contribute towards, the Australian “family”.
The artwork demonstrates how the younger generation are creating images that express empathy and a protective attitude to those who are seeking safer lands. They understand the importance of giving hope to overcome the lack of certainty which every day accompanies refugees, and in these works there is an acknowledgement of the terrible disasters which have led refuges to becoming displaced and of the dangers of their journeys.
This exhibition was scheduled for SA Refugee Week (14-20 June, 2020), however was postponed until November, due to COVID-19 restrictions.
