Join us for this online event with Australian writer, comedian and broadcaster, Craig Reucassel. In conversation with social commentator Jane Caro AM, Craig will discuss his book, Fight For Planet A. The book outlines the climate challenge and what we can do when there's no Planet B.

Most Australians accept that climate change is real, but many don't know what to do about it and feel powerless to make a difference.  In his book, Fight for Planet A, Craig Reucassel shows that it isn't as scary as we think, and we can make a difference to help protect the world for future generations.

The Chaser comedian and presenter of War on Waste sets out solutions and practical day-to-day changes we can make to reduce our carbon footprint, as well changes our governments need to make without further delay.

CRAIG REUCASSEL
WRITER, COMEDIAN AND BROADCASTER

Craig Reucassel is an Australian writer, comedian and broadcaster who is best known for his work with The Chaser and as host of the multi-award winning series, War on Waste.

Craig and a group of friends founded The Chaser newspaper, which led to a number of ABC-TV Chaser programs including The Election Chaser, CNNNN, The Chaser's War on Everything, The Hamster Wheel, and the satirical consumer affairs show The Checkout.

Craig was born in South Africa but moved to Australia at a young age. He attended the University of Sydney, and graduated with honours in Bachelor of Economics (Social Science) and Bachelor of Laws. As well as his TV work, Craig has worked on Triple J with fellow Chaser Chris Taylor and commercial radio. His CV extends to acting with performances in David Williamson's Jack of Hearts and Tim Firth's Neville's Island at The Ensemble.

JANE CARO AM
JOURNALIST, SOCIAL COMMENTATOR AND AUTHOR

Jane Caro AM, is a Walkley Award winning Australian columnist, author, novelist, broadcaster, documentary maker, feminist and social commentator.

She has published twelve books, including three novels Just a Girl,  Just a Queen and Just Flesh & Blood, a trilogy on Elizabeth Tudor, and a memoir Plain Speaking Jane. She created and edited Unbreakable which featured stories women writers had never told before, which was published just before the Harvey Weinstein revelations. Her latest book Accidental Feminists about the life story of women over 50 was launched in 2019. She is currently working on a novel.

She appears frequently on The Drum, Sunrise and Weekend Sunrise. She has created and presented five documentary series for Compass (2015 - 2019). She and Catherine Fox present the popular podcast, Women With Clout. She writes regular columns in Sunday Life and Leadership Matters and her opinion pieces appear regularly in The Saturday Paper, Fairfax and The Big Smoke.

She has been awarded the Walkley Award for Women in Leadership and was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for significant service to the broadcast media as a journalist, social commentator and author.

Jane presented the 2017 Amnesty International Oration and at an event presented by the Hawke Centre, as part of the 2018 Ubud Writers & Readers Festival.
