The approaches leading to organisational success in the knowledge economy are unlikely to guarantee survival in the new digital economy. Irrespective of the industry, most organisations need to transform to survive in the evolving business environment. Leading Business Transformation (LBT) refers to the changes associated with the application of digital technology in an enterprise. However, digital transformation is more of a mindset shift than any one technological investment.

This course provides a holistic perspective of digital business transformation and therefore encompasses much more than a discussion of disruptive technologies. Participants will gain an understanding of new digital platforms and ecosystems as a central element of new business models, as well as gain digital leadership skills, and learn how to develop a digitally-enabled, collaborative, borderless, learning agile workforce.

Digital transformation starts from the top, relying on support from leadership to ensure that changes are enforced and continuous. The course will enlighten leaders to what is different in the digital economy, what success looks like and how to structure and lead their organisation into the digital economy. We balance robust academic content with extensive industry experience gained from working with organisations’ leaders, both nationally and globally. Participants will get an opportunity to reflect on their own business environment and apply the new insights to develop a strategy to transform their business.

UniSA Business is the only business school in South Australia accredited by both AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) and the EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) – the world’s leading accreditation bodies recognising excellence in business and management education. This double accreditation demonstrates achievement of the highest international standards across teaching and learning, research, and stakeholder engagement, as well as a commitment to continuous improvement into the future.

Business schools that earn these accreditations must undergo a rigorous review process undertaken by peers in the business education community and industry, to ensure they have the resources, credentials and dedication to deliver first-rate programs, knowledge creation and positive impact on business and society.

These standards support UniSA Business to deliver on its mission, to innovate and engage, and to lead the business education community worldwide.
