Yangadlitya Kumangka

Yangadlitya Kumangka is the Kaurna name of UniSA’s Enterprise Hub. It means ‘for the future, together.’

The name Yangadlitya Kumangka was gifted to UniSA from the Kaurna Warra Karrpanthi – a leading group dedicated to Kaurna language revitalisation and maintenance.

Uncle David Rathman AM, PSM, FIML, who spoke on behalf of Senior Elder Uncle Lewis Yarlupurka O'Brien AO at the building launch in March 2023, says the Enterprise Hub will be important for future generations.

“We’re bringing community, enterprise, future developers, and our Aboriginal community into a space where we can work together as important collaborators,” Uncle Rathman says.

UniSA respectfully acknowledges the Kaurna People and their Elders past and present, who are the First Nations Traditional Owners of the land that is home to the University of South Australia’s Enterprise Hub/ Yangadlitya Kumangka.
