Collection and use of personal information collected from the UniSA website

The University of South Australia (UniSA) collects information regarding the use of the UniSA website.

Some of this information is provided directly by persons accessing the UniSA website inputting their personal information. Other information is collected automatically by UniSA through the use of business tools. 

The information collected by UniSA via its website is related to, and used for, UniSA’s operations.

Type of personal information collected and its use

  • Information regarding website usage is recorded by UniSA for statistical purposes using analytics services including Google Analytics. The information logged includes:
    • IP address
    • date and time of accessing the website
    • web pages accessed
    • type of browser and operating system.

Storage and disclosure of personal information

UniSA will store personal information which it collects securely. Access to personal information is restricted to the person who requires access to fulfil their role at UniSA.

UniSA may disclose personal information collected through the UniSA website to UniSA’s service providers located in Australia or overseas. These service providers have privacy policies relevant to the handling of personal information they receive from UniSA available on their websites.
