Evaluate all of your options for degrees and careers

Gather all the information you need to make an informed decision on your future by exploring our website, reading our study and career guides, and connecting with us through our events.

You can use our website to search by the study area you’re interested in or your desired career.

Once you’ve narrowed down your options, make sure you understand the entry requirements. If you’re not sure, you can get in touch with our Future Student Enquiries team.

List your degree preferences in order of passion

When applying through SATAC, you can list up to six preferences for degrees you'd like to study. List the degree you most want to study first, as the offers you receive will be given in the order you have preferenced, if you are eligible (Ie, 1st choice first, 2nd choice second etc).

Check the qualifications for your preferences

If you are applying using Year 12 results, check to see if you’re eligible for Adjustment Factors (bonus points) and confirm your ATAR Selection Rank by visiting SATAC’s self-service portal.

If you’re applying with other qualifications, such as previous VET or university study or a STAT result, get in touch with Future Student Enquiries for advice on your application and possible pathway options, such as UniSA’s Guaranteed Entry pathway.

Applications for UniSA Online

Apply for UniSA Online degrees via our online eligibility and application form. You do NOT need to apply through SATAC for UniSA Online degrees.

UniSA Online offers four start dates throughout the year, so you can apply as soon as you’re ready, at any time of year.

You'll be given an option to request a call back, continue your application or save it for later.

Gather your relevant documents

In order to verify your academic qualifications, you'll need to upload relevant documents like your official parchment, certificates or transcripts.

If you have work experience, you will need to upload your CV as well as any other documents like work references, professional recognition or accreditation or your training certification.

Complete your application

To proceed with your conditional offer, you’ll need to complete your application and provide required evidence of your previous study or work experience. Our team will be in touch to help you through this process.

Postgraduate degrees

Applications to most postgraduate degrees are made online via SATAC, but for some of our postgraduate degrees you will need to apply directly to UniSA.

The appropriate application portal for your degree will be listed on the degree homepage, under How to Apply. You'll also find information about entry requirements on the degree homepage, under 'view full entry requirements'.

International undergraduate and postgraduate degrees

You are classed as an international student if you are a temporary resident of Australia or New Zealand, or a citizen of any other country where you don't have dual citizenship with Australia or New Zealand.

The University of South Australia does not charge an application fee.

Check entry requirements

Make sure you are aware of entry requirements for the University as well as requirements for individual programs, such as english language requirements.

There are also guidelines on genuine student requirement and guidelines on living costs and evidence of funds that you should be aware of and comply with in order to have a successful application.

Undergraduate Entry Requirements
You must have successfully completed an Australian Year 12 program or an equivalent program in your home country or a recognised Pathway or Foundation Studies Program. If you are an international student studying Year 12 in Australia you need to apply via the South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC).

Postgraduate Entry Requirements
At a minimum you must have successfully completed an undergraduate degree, to the required standard, from a recognised higher education institution in Australia or the international equivalent and/or the equivalent professional work experience. The University offers both coursework and research degrees for postgraduate studies.

You may need to apply through a UniSA Agent

Depending on your country of citizenship, you may be required to apply through a registered UniSA education agent unless you are already onshore in Australia.

You'll be able to track the progress of your application, download offer documents, submit your acceptance and make any payments through our secure online system.

Follow our step-by-step guide to accepting your offer, then get excited preparing for student life in Adelaide.

Application outcomes will be advised within one to two weeks from the date we receive your application and all required supporting documentation. If you require a student visa, you will need to allow additional time to apply for a student visa.
