SPEF-R2 Professional Development

This session will outline the development of the OT Student Practice Evaluation Tool - Revised Second Edition (SPEF-R2), the key updates and changes with a range of resources and tools that can be used. It will include a demonstration of the SPEF-R2 online version and the resources that can assist clinical educators in the evaluation of students on placement.
The SPEF-R2 ensures alignment with the new Australian Occupational Therapy Competency Standards (Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, 2018). It also includes many varied contemporary additions and amendments to meet the needs of the current occupational therapy landscape, and to make the tool more relevant and easier to use for educators.
This session is aimed at new OT clinical educators or those who want to know more about the new version of the tool.
