Our goal is to grow the Australian Centre for Asian Business (ACAB) to be recognised nationally and internationally.

ACAB is a multi-discipline research centre with a focus on research and enterprise engagement of Asian business and management. Together with Study for International Business Education Research and the Korean King Sejong Institute, we are a leader for international engagement at UniSA.

We conduct research of great value that benefits the development of society as a whole. With more than 25 members, our research streams span commerce, marketing, management, law, and innovation and entrepreneurship.

Within these streams, we cover areas including:

  • Cross Cultural Management
  • Chinese Commercial Law and Corporate Governance
  • Employment Relations, as well as Human Resource Management and Labour Markets
  • Foreign Direct Investment and International Accounting
  • Trade and Multinational Enterprises
  • Globalisation and Comparative Asian Management
  • Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Sustainability
  • Assurance and Corporate Governance
  • International Trade, Finance and Investment
  • Marketing and Consumer Behaviour
  • Tourism and Services Management

We are dedicated to building connections for our members through initiatives such as workshops and seminars, international conferences, international partnerships with overseas universities and institutions, short-term training programs and paper reviewing.

Given the impact of COVID-19 globally, our ongoing research projects may face new challenges, particularly related to fieldwork in Asia, however we will continue to work closely with our international partners to achieve sustainable research outcomes now and into the future.
