About the Research Hub
The iCAHE Research Hub exists to foster a collaborative and supportive environment for researchers, clinicians and others interested in the various methodologies that may be employed in health research. The aim is to enhance opportunities for individuals and groups who are interested in research through the provision of educational resources and support in the various evidence-based methodologies available.
iCAHE has a long history of championing high quality research methodology including the facilitation and support of journal clubs throughout Australia, development and provision of online resources such as iCAHE EBP e-learning modules, the Learning Hub and the Outcomes Calculator, and the publication of relevant text books.
Members of iCAHE regularly undertake evidentiary reviews either for organisations on a fee-for-service basis, or as published systematic reviews to inform evidence-based practice. Our members are currently involved in a number of health research projects covering a diverse range of topics, using a variety of methodological approaches and linking with national and international research collaborators. We are currently developing a series of educational podcasts on various research methodology topics that will be made available to users online, though the Learning Hub.

Cultural Responsiveness in Action: An Indigenous Allied Health Australia (IAHA) Framework - This framework was developed in response to a need for practical strategies to build cultural safety using strengths-based and action-oriented approaches, it provides guidance around what health professionals need to know, be and do in order to be culturally responsive.
Person Centred Care and Health Literacy project website
In 2013-2014 ADEA completed a revision of the information sheet Person Centred Care for people with diabetes and developed an information sheet on Health literacy for people with diabetes. The ADEA Person Centred Care project will build on these information sheets, to assist diabetes educators to understand and adopt health literate, person-centred care practices, to ensure people with diabetes are at the centre of their health care journey and are involved in all aspects of their care.
The Centre of Research Excellence in Neuromuscular Disorders is a collaboration of neuromuscular experts. It uses the latest approaches in medicine, science, nursing and allied health to improve diagnosis, facilitate prevention and transform treatment from compassionate management to effective therapy. The EQUATOR Network - Enhancing the QUAlity and Transparency Of health Research
The EQUATOR Network works to improve the reliability and value of medical research literature by promoting transparent and accurate reporting of research studies. The EQUATOR website hosts a library containing a comprehensive searchable database of reporting guidelines and also links to other resources relevant to research reporting (including reporting guidelines such as CONSORT, STROBE, PRISMA, STARD and many more).
Think. Check. Submit. is a campaign to help researchers identify trusted journals for their research. Not all researchers receive the same level of training and support in how to choose a trustworthy journal to submit their work to. Think. Check. Submit. provides an easy-to-use checklist that researchers can refer to when they are investigating whether a journal can be trusted. It is a simple checklist researchers can use to assess the credentials of a journal or publisher.
