Anthology 01 - call out for submissionsMOD. is running a pilot program collating an anthology of short fiction, poetry, illustration and photography. We are inviting 15 – 22yo. to submit their work which will be reviewed by an editorial panel, curating up to 20 submissions which best reflect the WAKE theme. The anthology will then be printed and sold at MOD. Shop to showcase local creativity on issues about what it is to be human and our place in this world.

What to submit?

MOD. is looking for original creative works in the form of short fiction (fiction or non-fiction) and poetry up to 800-1000 words, and/or up to 3 works of illustration or photography per submission. You will keep all rights over your work, we just want to collate, publish and share it with the world!

The theme for Wake is:

We want you to respond to the following statement:
We rely on our interactions with oceans, yet what do we leave in our wake? Our theme invites you to consider oceans and waterways as used by people in exploration, conflict, travel, sustenance, refuge and relaxation. Are people part of a complex thriving ecosystem, or the agent of its demise? What turbulence might we face in the future?

Why submit?

To potentially get your work published and in front of a large audience. We are aiming to have around 100,000 people through our doors in the first year. You will also receive a free copy of the book to keep valued at $20 and a $30 honorarium gift voucher. You will also be invited to the exclusive launch event where you can meet other like-minded people and mix with UniSA professionals and academics.
