Hong Kong Baptist College was founded in 1956 by the Baptist Convention of Hong Kong as a post-secondary college and became a fully-funded public tertiary institution in 1983. It gained university status in 1994 and was renamed Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU). 
 
HKBU School of Business is amongst the 1% of business schools worldwide accredited by the three leading international accreditation bodies focused on business education, AACSB, Association of MBAs Accredited and EQUIS Accredited.

Kowloon is an urban area in Hong Kong S.A.R. comprising the Kowloon Peninsula and New Kowloon. With a population of 2 million, Kowloon is the most densely populated urban area in Hong Kong S.A.R.

Kowloon is a popular arts, entertainment and shopping district, with options ranging from high fashion shopping to traditional Chinese shophouses. Hong Kong, officially the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) of the People's Republic of China, is a special administrative region in southern China. It maintains separate governing and economic systems from that of mainland China under the principle of "one country, two systems".

Hong Kong is one of the most densely populated places in the world, with over 7.4 million people living in a 1,104-square-kilometre area. Cantonese, Mandarin and English are the official and most used languages, with a scattering of dialects and other languages also present. As the world's tenth-largest exporter and ninth-largest importer, Hong Kong is one of the world's most significant financial centres and commercial ports. This highly developed territory ranks fourth on the UN Human Development Index.

The dense nature of the region has been a cause for innovation, making it a centre for modern architecture. Hong Kong is the world's most vertical city, with the largest number of skyscrapers of any city in the world. Despite the scale of development, this cosmopolitan city also has a surprisingly green side, thanks to zoning laws.

There is plenty to do and see here. Wander along Victoria Harbour for daily light shows, commute to class via ferry, hike mountains by the sea, shop for cutting edge fashion in massive malls and make your way through night markets. Everything is easily accessible as Hong Kong has some of the best public transportation in the world. There's a lot of history and culture to be found here, as well as the chance to experience the very best of modern living and education.

Hong Kong is made up of more than 200 islands which is why it is often necessary to travel over water bodies. Some of these islands are completely uninhabitable and unreachable.

The Hong Kong Sevens which is a rugby tournament held in March of every year is the largest in the world, with over 28 international teams competing for the prize of $150,000.

All students must meet standard exchange selection criteria and any host institution restrictions.

Must have a minimum GPA of 5.0 or higher.

• For students from Mainland China, Macau and Taiwan, please also attach copies of the identity documents, e.g. identity cards, census papers, etc.

Students are classified as full time when registering for a minimum of 12 credits per semester (students must maintain 12 credits to satisfy the Hong Kong Immigration student visa requirements). 

At HKBU, each course is generally 3 credits, so:

• 12 credits (4 courses) = 13.5 UniSA units
• 15 credits (5 courses) = 18 UniSA units

Non-native English speakers are required to have attained an English proficiency level of TOEFL 550 (paper-based)/79 (internet-based) or IELTS 6.0 or above.

HKBU offers a free pick up service from Hong Kong International Airport or Hung Hom Railway Station to campus. 
 
Students arriving on dates other than the specified arrival dates will need to make their own way to the campus. The International Office will provide them with public transportation information.

HKBU offers on-campus accommodation for exchange students, however if you choose to live off campus it will be your responsibility to make housing arrangement before of after arrival in Hong Kong. 
 
Undergraduate exchange students may stay in the 21-storey Undergraduate Halls on campus. All rooms are on sharing basis, and beds are reserved on a first-come-first-served basis. Application details will be announced to admitted exchange students.  
 
Postgraduate exchange students may stay at the NTT International House (NTT) on campus on a first-come-first-served basis. Once admitted, postgraduate exchange students will be put into direct contact with NTT for housing applications
