The Art Museum Gallery closed during 2002-3 due to building works for the UniSA City West Stage 2 development, including the new Samstag Museum of Art.

A series of specially commissioned works in the Art Museum's North Terrace display window by prominent South Australia practitioners, held during breaks in the exhibitions program during 2002 and 2003.
