REFUGEE WEEK

Refugee Week is Australia’s peak annual activity to inform the public about refugees and celebrate positive contributions made by refugees to Australian society. As part of Refugee Week, The Bob Hawke Prime Ministerial Centre and the Australian Migrant Resource Centre present the SA Refugee Week 2021 Youth Poster Awards Exhibition.

The Hawke Centre will also co-present with Australian Refugee Association the 2021 ARA and Hawke Centre Conversation.

Refugee Week coincides with World Refugee Day (June 20). This year's theme is: Together we heal, learn and shine.

There is also the opportunity to attend the Adelaide Launch of the documentary, Scattered People. A superb new documentary film about Australian Music legends giving people seeking asylum a voice.  The screening includes a Q&A with the film makers John and Lizzi Swatland. This collaborative event presented by Justice For Refugees, the Welcoming Centre and Australian Migrant Resource Centre. More Information
