Heri Apriyanto has been able to take his lifelong passion for conservation and nature, and combine it with an innovative professional career in IT. He’s currently developing a system to conserve and protect the exorbitant amount of plants that litter the four national Indonesian Botanical Gardens on behalf of the Indonesian Institute of Sciences and 34 more Botanical Gardens on behalf of local government in the country. The system that he has been creating and implementing is vital, not only for the conservation of plant species, but the management of the many botanic gardens to analyse and report when the best time is to water particular plants, ideal soil conditions, pruning time, and combating disease and pests. more…
