Professor Jana Matthews

Professor Jana Matthews is an international expert on entrepreneurial leadership and business growth; has served on seven boards and founded five companies of her own including The Jana Matthews Group, Boulder Quantum Ventures, and M&H Group. She was recruited to the original senior team of the Kauffman Foundation’s Centre for Entrepreneurial Leadership, where she was the architect of highly successful programs designed to teach CEOs and their executive teams how to lead and manage growth. Professor Matthews has direct experience developing programs to educate angel investors, facilitate technology transfer, and create ecosystems to support entrepreneurs and growth companies. In recent years, Start-up Daily identified Professor Matthews as one of the leading women in Australia’s innovation ecosystem, and in 2018 she was included on the Australian Financial Review list of “100 Women of Influence” in Australia.

Professor Richard Turner

Distinguished alumnus and entrepreneur, Professor Richard Turner, Industry Professor of Practice and Entrepreneur in Residence will be joining Professor Matthews for the presentation. Professor Turner, is the Founder of Zen Energy, recognised as the fastest growing company in South Australia (2010 and 2011), and the 4th fastest growing company in 2012 (BRW magazine). Professor Turner is a specialist in re-invention and industry disruption and was named Australian Entrepreneur of the Year for the Cleantech sector in 2010.
