SOUTH AUSTRALIA'S HISTORY FESTIVAL

South Australia's History Festival is an annual statewide event exploring South Australia's history. Held throughout May each year, the History Festival explores the state’s places and spaces, stories, collections and ideas that make us who we are.

One of South Australia’s largest open-access community events, the History Festival program features hundreds of events ranging from talks to tours, walks to workshops and exhibitions to special events.

The Hawke Centre will present Modern Living: At Home in South Australia, 1890 - 1960 as part of the 2021 SA History Festival Program.

ADELAIDE FOOD FRINGE

A food and beverage festival for everyone, with a program of events created by South Australia’s diverse hospitality industry and grassroots communities. The 9 day program features businesses, venues, multicultural communities and institutions that inspires creative, cultural and accessible food and drink events held across the state.

The Hawke Centre will present two events as part of the 2021 Adelaide Food Fringe Festival Program, From Bush Food to Banjaan Borani – Food, Family and History on a Plate and Food Democracy: From Passive Consumers to Active Food Citizens. See the Full Program of Adelaide Food Fringe Events here.
