About the event

How can leaders today foster the best possible future for the not-for-profit sector? How can we build our organisational capacity and drive innovation? And how can we ensure the next generation of the sector’s leaders strive to maximise social outcomes, and are equipped to do so?

To explore these questions and more, we invite you to join Anglicare SA, Helping Hand, Uniting Communities and the University of South Australia on 21 April 2021 for Shaping the Future of Non-Profit Leadership.

This event will bring together Board Members, CEOs and emerging leaders from not-for-profit organisations to delve into the challenges faced by leaders in the wake of the economic and social impacts of COVID-19, and recent broader societal and regulatory changes.

As a sector on the coalface during the COVID-19 crisis, and as one of the largest employment sectors in the Australian economy, the value that community organisations bring to society, governments and the Australian people is clearer now than ever before.

As we come together in the new Uniting Communities U City building for this interactive conference, our exciting line-up of speakers and panellists, including organisation leaders and experts at the forefront of research, will share their knowledge on capacity building and opportunities for innovation within our not-for-profit sector.

In addition to exploring how non-profit organisations can be equipped to develop sustainable, scalable business models, our program addresses how critically important it is for future leaders to maintain a values-driven approach that understands the importance of mission to the business of not-for-profit organisations.
