The Hon Mike Rann

Former South Australian Premier and former Australian Ambassador to Italy

Mike Rann served 26 years in the South Australian Parliament and was the Premier of South Australia from March 2002 to October 2011. While Premier, he was also Minister for Economic Development, Minister for the Arts, Australia’s first Minister for Social Inclusion and Minister for Climate Change.

Mr Rann was also the education minister who oversaw the amalgamation of the South Australian Institute of Technology and the Magill, Salisbury and Underdale campuses of the South Australian College of Advanced Education to create UniSA.
