Lord David Puttnam

Film Producer

Lord David Puttnam spent 30 years as an independent film producer. His many award-winning films include The Mission, The Killing Fields, Chariots of Fire, Midnight Express, Bugsy Malone, and The Memphis Belle.

A 10-time Academy Award-winner, Lord Puttnam was the chairman of the National Film and Television School and later founded Skillset, which trains young people to become members of the film and television industries. From 2002-2009 he was UK president of UNICEF and remains an ambassador. He was named Ireland’s Digital Champion in 2012.
