COVID-19 Advice

Accommodation

UniSA DRH are closely monitoring and responding to the evolving COVID-19 situation.  The safety of students in our accommodation is of the utmost importance.  We are following SA Health protocols and the latest advice from Federal and State authorities.

There are some practical steps students can take to help stop the spread of the illness:

  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and water
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
  • Practice respiratory hygiene
  • Maintain social distancing
  • Stay informed and follow advice given by your healthcare provider
  • Seek medical care if you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing

In response to COVID-19 we have increased the frequency of cleaning in our properties.  There is a continued expectation that students will practice good hygiene and cleanliness in our accommodation.  Students should ensure the following:

  • Clean up the kitchen area thoroughly after use and wipe down all surfaces
  • Ensure that all rubbish is put in the appropriate bin (with liner) and that bins are emptied regularly
  • Make sure that you leave your bathroom area clean and tidy and do not share any towels

Placement

Students preparing for placement can download our COVID-19 Action Plan.  The plan covers important areas for consideration before your upcoming placement.

The COVID-19 Action Plan is to be used as a guide to help you prepare for your upcoming rural placement. Consistent with the relaxing of the restrictions announced by the Prime Minister and the Premier of South Australia, non-essential travel can now be undertaken again. Given this, students staying in accommodation in their placement region are reminded to engage in and maintain social distancing practices when travelling in and around rural South Australia.
