Facilities and Learning support

We have invested heavily in our campus facilities to provide purpose-built study spaces for our students. The Mount Gambier Campus features state-of-the-art facilities including the $12.5 million Learning Centre, which has simulated learning environments for nursing and midwifery students, social work studios, a technology-driven gallery space, cutting edge IT infrastructure and a range of tutorial, social and informal learning spaces.

Together with a central piazza and a variety of spaces and furniture for socialising and informal learning makes the Mount Gambier Campus the place to study.

UniSA is co-located with TAFE SA at Wireless Road West, Mount Gambier. Students have access to support staff to assist them with enrolment, access to USASA Officers and the online Library environment.

The campus is also open seven days a week for student access.

Engaged learning

Our students benefit from smaller class sizes. They receive more one-on-one time with our teaching staff and tutors, and additional support when needed. Our highly-experienced teaching staff are also there to help students studying a blended mode of on-campus and online learning.

High speed connectivity

Our Learning Centre is complemented by the construction of 260kms of fibre optic cable to connect Mount Gambier to the National research and education network.  This infrastructure means Mount Gambier students have access to on-campus internet speeds 1000 times the rate they are used to - from 10 megabits per second to 10 gigabits per second.  Mount Gambier is now among the most connected regional cities in Australia and this provides students with access to the same curriculum, the same resources and the same academics as those in Adelaide.

Student Experience

It’s important that our students feel supported during their studies. Students have access to a full range of services including study support, personal counselling, disability services and career services. Our Campus Central team is located on-site and can point students in the right direction. We also have tailored services for Aboriginal students including study assistance and mentoring opportunities.
