If you have tested positive to COVID-19 within the last 7 days, you cannot attend your appointment until Day 8 onwards.

Our priority is to maintain our ability to provide safe, quality services to you while keeping all of our patients, staff, students, and the community as safe as reasonably possible. services will remain open with the following measures in place to protect our community any minimise risk as much as reasonably possible.

If you or someone that you care for has an upcoming appointment with us, please take the time to read the following important information about how we will be minimising our risk and limiting the spread of COVID-19.

For Patients:

As vulnerable people do attend our sites, including those who are immunocompromised and/or with chronic health conditions, we respectfully request that you:

  • To minimise congestion and time spent in the waiting room, please arrive at the time of your scheduled appointment, not earlier or later than the scheduled time. If you do arrive early, please wait outside of the building or in your car.
  • If you are displaying any of the following symptoms, please reschedule your appointment or request a telehealth appointment if it is appropriate (conducted either by phone or video call)
    • Fever
    • Cough (Dry or moist)
    • Sore throat
    • Runny nose
    • Shortness of breath/difficulty breathing
    • Abnormal change in taste
    • Fatigue
    • Abnormal change/loss of smell
    • Diarrhoea
    • Nausea
    • Vomiting
    • Headache
    • Muscle pain
    • Loss of appetite
  • Face masks are no longer required to be worn however you may wear one if that is your personal preference. You are able to request that our clinical staff and students also wear a mask during the consultation with you if that is your preference.
  • Cover any aerosol-generating behaviours such as coughs and sneezes, dispose of any tissues, and utilise the hand sanitiser available in the clinic waiting room and consultation rooms.
  • Limit the number of people that you bring to your appointment to only those required to attend (i.e. parents and carers only).
  • Maintain a safe distance of 1.5 metres away from other people where reasonably possible.
  • Practice safe hand hygiene throughout the clinic and sanitise your hands frequently.

Additional measures:

  • You will be asked a series of screening questions relating to your physical health, and if you have tested positive to COVID-19 within the last 7 days.
  • When providing face-to-face services, our staff may be required to wear higher levels of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). This includes masks, safety glasses, and/or face shields. This will enable us to keep our services as safe as possible and ensure continuity of care.
