ReNEW - Research Concentrations Strategy

Academic Board approved the adoption of ReNEW: A New UniSA Research Concentrations Strategy at its meeting on Friday 26 September 2008. The strategy will see the implementation of five categories of research concentrations at UniSA and the enhancement of the teaching-research nexus through the establishment of frameworks of cooperation.

The objectives of the new research concentrations strategy are consistent with the University's Vision, Mission and Values statement that was adopted by Council earlier this year.

ReNEW: A New UniSA Research Concentrations Strategy is a result of substantial feedback received from across the University and the work of two subcommittees (Research Concentrations: Criteria and Performance and Research Concentrations: The Teaching-Research Nexus) of the Research Policy Committee (RPC) in the first quarter of 2008.

The recommendations contained in ReNEW will be implemented in 2009 to be fully operational in 2010 and progress will be communicated through ResNet, RPC, APPRC and Academic Board.
