National information
The Australian Department of Education, Science and Training funds both the Regional Disability Liaison Officer (RDLO) and the Disability Coordination Officer (DCO) positions. The positions are funded from separate initiatives and therefore have different titles. However, both positions work together to improve education, training and employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Currently there are thirty-one RDLO and DCO positions throughout Australia.
In South Australia there is one full-time RDLO position and two half-time DCO positions. The South Australian Regional Disability Liaison Officer position is located in the city of Adelaide and the Disability Coordination Officers are located in Port Augusta and Mount Gambier respectively.
