New Chair in Mental Health appointed
UniSA
and SA Health have announced
the appointment of a Chair in Mental Health Nursing to lead teaching,
research and community engagement in mental health nursing in South
Australia.
Professor Nicholas Procter, a senior academic from UniSA’s
School of Nursing and Midwifery,
said he was honoured to take up the exciting new position.
"Mental illness affects one in five Australians. This is a great opportunity for UniSA and SA Health to work in partnership to contribute to the health and wellbeing of South Australians," he said. Full story...

$4.7m for health simulation training facility
UniSA
has been awarded more than $4.7 million in funding from the Federal
Government to build a state of the art health-focused simulation
learning facility at its
City East campus. Deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard announced last
week that UniSA will receive the funds in the 2010-11 budget to assist
in building a Clinical Education and Training Centre (CETC).
