What will I study?
The Masters and Graduate Diploma in Information Assurance provide programs of advanced study with the Masters offering the following major areas of study:

Computing (Electronic Evidence) - Network and Device Forensics ISO 17025
- Forensic Laboratory Accreditation
- Information Assurance and Security
- Secure Software development
- critical infrastructure and
- Process control (SCADA) system security
The
Masters program requires students to develop and undertake an integrated
research
project.
In some cases this project might focus on a real issue within their
employment.
The
Graduate Certificate in Forensic Computing and
Graduate Diploma in Forensic Computing provides an introduction to the
basic concepts and theoretical underpinnings of Electronic Evidence and
Forensic Computing in the Law Enforcement and Government sectors. This
program is only offered part-time.
The
Graduate Certificate in Information Assurance provides an introduction
to the basic concepts and theoretical underpinnings of Information
Assurance, Intrusion detection, secure software lifecycle and critical
infrastructure protection.
The suite of programs will be offered in a traditional on campus
face-to-face delivery but with the option of block mode lecturing for local
DEST funded students (with considerable online support for both modes of
delivery).
