Exchange students (students from exchange partner institutions) will continue to pay fees to their home institution and will not make any tuition payments directly to the University of South Australia. A mandatory Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) to support services of a non-academic nature is payable. Fees are charged per semester dependent on the number of courses you study (approximately AUD$140). You will also need to pay Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) to cover yourself for medical insurance.
The 2017 fee for Study Abroad students (students not from exchange partner institutions) is AUD$9,800 for one study period (18 units).
Students wishing to study 3 courses (13.5 units) per study period will pay a reduced fee of AUD$7,350.
If you are a student from the United States you may be able to apply for Financial Aid. Please ask your home institution for further information.
On top of our university exchange partners we also have relationships with a number of other institutions which we call our Study Abroad partners. If you are coming as a study abroad student and you are from one of these institutions then you may be eligible for a reduced fee.
For information on other costs, such as accommodation, please see our Cost of Living section.
